Role Reversal

Christmas Tree Bird Assault Status: Cat: 3 ; Bluebird of Happiness, 2
'Game On' called on 12/6/14 when bird was placed in tree. Points earned by cat removing bird or bird staying in tree overnight.

First thing's first: Pit Crew #2 brought the Bluebird of Happiness to me this morning letting me know it lost its battle "at 1:30 in the morning !!" Apparently, Daphne wanted to offer it up to someone ...

On with the run: This morning, the body and the mind had a bit of a role reversal. My body said, "Yes," while my mind said, "No." Weird. It's usually the other way around. It was to my delighted surprise, though, because I took off, and I just kept on groovin'!

I'm so glad I did, too, because all sorts of fun things happened today. For instance, I saw this:
I really took in this moment because it's one that you either see in action, or, you pass by that spot some day and are all, "Hey, wasn't there a building there just a day or so ago?" The thought that struck me first, though, was that it looked like a doll house -- front part in tact, back part open to play. Call me crazy, but I thought it was cool!

Also cool was this ...
... the moment when I scooted some trash and leaves just in case and found a quarter! That was one of three quarters today, by the way, in today's $1.48 super score!

Oh, and I've often wondered if I would have the guts to pick up money at the base of a parking meter when the person who just paid was standing right by it. In a 22-cent find today, that question was answered. Just sayin'.

Other coolness? This!
That display is cool! I saw it yesterday, but there was a dude standing right inside the store's doorway. It seemed weird to pull out my camera. Evidently, there's a difference in taking a picture of something random and picking up change when it comes to having an up-close-and-personal audience. Anyway, I loved that display, but isn't ours just as smashing?!
Totes adorbs. Yeah, I just said that!
Speaking of smashing, the grand finale of fabulous sightings today goes to the penguin in the ugly Christmas sweater:
You just don't see that every day!
Okay, I just looked ... does that really say that one more run puts my mileage counter within 20 miles of 1,000?! Whuuuuuuuut?! Wow, that makes me feel even better about taking tomorrow as a Rest Day! Booyah!!! I've been looking forward to the rest all week, so you bet'cha I'm going to enjoy it!! I'll check in along the way ...!
