Happy Monday! Starting off the week with a run in the 60-degree weather was a great way to start the day! It would have been better only if,
you guessed it, my sinuses would
clear up already!
I'll show you someone who had no issues with her nose this morning!
|
Oh ... my ... gosh, it's about to be that kind of run. Um, Elly,
you're supposed to be ruuuunniiiiiiiiinnngggg ... |
|
Ah, there she goes. |
|
Totally looks like she's looking to her
right with her mouth open, doesn't it?
Almost like a sock puppet? Nope ... that
top right curve is her floppy ear; the lower
bump above the leash is her bandana. That
girl was flyin' once she got going!! ('Til
she had to stop again. And, again.) |
The pooch and I went a whole new route today, so it was fun to go off the beaten paths! It's a new school year with new routines, so that brings about new places to run. Yeahhh!! It's always an adventure to take Elly somewhere new. She's such a spaz until she gets used to where we turn and to the traffic patterns. That girl can
move when she hears a car whizzing up behind us. The fact that we're on a sidewalk and the cars are in the street is totally lost on her. (She
really dances when it's a big truck coming, by the way.)
Aside from the many sniffing-asides in which Elly participated, the many times she bounced sideways (see above truck situation) and my head being totally clogged by the end of the run, it was a good one!
(Sounds like it, doesn't it?!) Any time I can make the run happen, it's a good thing. Period.
Elly had fun, too, but it's hard to truly demonstrate the wag factor when the tail is mushed between her rear and the back of the car seat:
|
You can't tell, but the very end of her tail
was wiggling with glee. So, instead of the
usual WHAP WHAP WHAP it was flick
flick flick ...! |
I hope your Monday also started off strong! Tomorrow's a Rest Day, so I'll see you then!
