Running With a Friend

There was no better way to spend the run today than to do so with my faithful running friend Elly. Period.

And, she had a great time out there from sniffing every possible random-animal track in the grass to spying on these guys for a minute:
While I gave her a minute to gaze at the geese, she received no time to snag a snack:
That's a nasty cheese stick, but Elly would have happily eaten it.
The route was a mile and a half mostly up hill, then while the last half was mostly down hill, it was also against the wind. Figures. But, at least it wasn't up hill and against the wind! I've certainly done that, and it's a stink. Regardless, the miles are clocked, and we continue to tick 'em down on the ol' Half Marathon miles counter! That's all that really matters. That and after-run hugs:
"Any time, Mommy, any time ..."
