Well, we did it!!
No, there wasn't an official race going on -- we just survived the morning run! It was hot, it was sticky, it was difficult to breathe through the thick air at times, and it was hard! But, for all that was difficult, it was still a good one. We worked hard when we could, and we were responsible with both water and breaks. I admit I sometimes poked Pit Crew #2 for her opinion because I wanted to hear it was difficult for her, too (and that it all wasn't because I was a weenie). Not one to complain, she needed the poking, but she also did not hesitate to agree that, yes, mom ... this run kind of sucks!
Nothing like a sucky run together, though!

That's my girl ...! |
For as gross as this run was, it will totally and completely pay off to persevere through the crappy weather. It's amazing how that first run feels on the other side of the humidity blanket when we can get full lungs' worth of air! Until then ...
we keep going ...
PC#2 and I have a park-our-butts-on-the-couch date planned for tonight with the season opener of Hallmark's Cedar Cove (
yeahhhhhhhh!!
Fin.a.lly!!) which is the perfect way to wind down a day that we wound right on up together this morning! That's also the perfect way to slide into a Rest Day tomorrow!
I hope your Saturday was full, from beginning to end, of exactly what you wanted! I'll check in on Rest Day!
