Numbers and Letters

Remember watching Sesame Street and how each show was sponsored by a letter and a number? My morning run was sponsored by the numbers 6.5 and 42 ... how many miles in what temperature. Yeah!! I do so love these temps ... upon stepping onto the front walk, I promptly blew a poof of air upward to make sure I could see my breath! Ahhh ... I DO SO LOVE FALL!!

And, evidently, the run was also sponsored by a letter: The Letter P. First ... Pockets and Pennies!
That penny has seen better days ...
It took no time at all to spy the first (and only) penny of the run! Cha-ching! As I wore my shorty pants today, I had to remember where the pockets in them are. Only, there aren't pockets, there's a pocket. And, it's really small! What you see up there is what you get, so spent a great deal of my run pondering, "Why on earth is that pocket so small?" No joke, totally did. I didn't come up with any answers, but it kept my brain busy.

Then, check out what I happened upon!
Is that the prettiest weed you've ever seen or what?
It was just out there in the middle of nothing being pretty. I loved it! AND, you'll note the theme with me and flowers as this blossom matches my shoes.

Speaking of ... I wore them again today, and for the purpose of running, I have kissed them goodbye! Having one foot feel fine and the other hurt or be uncomfortable is unacceptable. So, as pretty as they are, no more running adventures for them! I'd be more bummed about that, but I've already found their replacement:
Hard to go wrong when the color description is
"Lightening, Titanium and Periwinkle"!
I saw my old shoes at the store while shopping for the new ones, and right next to them were ones with the same model number plus an additional number indicating to us it was the updated version. I've never seen that (I've only seen new model numbers entirely), so it makes me think I'm not the only one who found them ... unsatisfactory but the folks behind the brand are trying to keep 'em around. Or, I'm just wrong, and that's okay, too, because I have different ones now! I took them for a good spin around the store (yup, I was that person), and they felt like a breath of fresh air on my feet (which would be weird in a literal sense, but in the figurative, we're good). Anyway, new shoes drenched in Periwinkle ... rules!!

Our sponsorship recap: Pennies. Pockets. Purple. Periwinkle. And, finally, Puppies:
You taste yummy, mommy ...
The distance was too long for the trainer, but she still doles out the love when I return. Spend time today with someone you love! Looking forward to tomorrow because it's what day?! REST DAY!!
