We got Family Run Time in just in time!! Look what we barely missed!
Rain was in the forecast but not 'til later today, so we were lucky!! It would have been a total bummer to not get in that run because it was super fun! Come with me!
|
Elly wasn't going to miss today's run! I
love when she's wagging so fast that her
tail disappears in the picture! |
|
The boys were ready to hit it ... |
|
... as were the girls! (Doesn't Jacques' hat
look like it's on Elly? HA!) |
|
We weren't but steps away from our start
when PC#3 proclaimed, "I love family
run time!!" I was both thrilled and had to
do a double-take. Our boy likes to run?
Out.Standing. I think I helped hook him
last year when I capitalized on the social
potential of the family run to inspire him
to go ... talking and running for PC#3 is a
Win. Win. And, now that he enjoys both,
BEST WORDS EVER. |
|
Elly needs no words ... just the open road! |
|
Those two are OFF AND RUNNING!
Go get 'em, team!! |
|
Aaron photo-bombed the tree shot! |
|
Okay, it was wicked windy (see how I haven't even complained
about that yet?!). To distract myself on this stretch, I decided to
check out my recent polish job. I did a terrible job. Whoopsie. |
|
Okay, between right here, which PC#3 noted
these trees look like a bunny head (totally!)
and the nail polish check, we took on the big
hill of the route. It really is big, too. And, I
have to give massive props to the young
Crewers who took it on and did it! They
totally rock! I would have whined my way
right on up that hill at their ages!! |
|
Ah, beauty continued up high ... |
|
... and, down low in the confetti grass! |
|
I found no pennies again, but I did pick these up along the way. |
|
PC#2 continued the finding-stuff streak. |
|
And, that's how this run rolled! |
|
Daphne, who likes to gallop throughout the house, and Jacques
had a post-run moment. Let's give them their privacy, shall we? |
And, one more thing for the day totally off topic ... when the heck did mannequins start looking like this?
|
Half of a head? Really? That's creepy. |
The Run-Rest schedule is still a little off, so tomorrow, it's Rest Day!! It's supposed to be really cold overnight and not even reach 40 degrees all day, so it's probably best it's not a running day! I love the cold, but my running throat and lungs prefer to ease into those temps just a little bit! Besides, I'm tired. So, I'll be hunkered down tomorrow ... see you then!
